Prerequisite: Prerequisite: DANC 013. The last of four courses in jazz dance, this course focuses on refining advanced technique, style, and finesse. Through advanced exercises, analysis, and discussion of performances and choreography, this course builds upon skills learned in lower levels. The primary objectives of this class are to build competence in advanced jazz dance technique and to develop a nuanced appreciation of aesthetic principles in jazz dance, particularly as they relate to American musical theater. NOTE: This course involves significant physical activity.(DANC 013)
