Prerequisite: Prerequisite: Placement as determined by the college’s multiple measures assessment process or completion of a course taught at or above the level of intermediate algebra. This course introduces students to creative mathematical thinking and problem solving. Topics include logic, geometry, applications of exponential and logarithmic functions, and the mathematics of probability and statistics. It is intended to provide a survey of current mathematical techniques for the non-specialist.
