Cost
Audit students pay the same tuition and fees as credit students. Senior citizens age 65+ may audit for free (tuition waived; local fees may apply).
65+ Senior Discount: Free (up to 6 credit hours per semester)
NC residents 65+ may audit up to 6 credit hours per semester for free under NC General Statute § 115D-5(b)(2), space permitting.

How to Apply
- Complete an admissions application if not already enrolled as a student
- Register for the course through the normal registration process
- Complete an Audit Request Form and obtain instructor approval
- Submit the signed Audit Request Form to the Registrar or Records office before the census date (typically the 10% point of the course)

Restrictions
- Instructor approval may be required
- Audit students receive a grade of AU — no credit or grade points awarded
